Drowsy Driving Committee: Representative Keenan was appointed by Speaker DiMasi to the Special Commission established pursuant to Section 26 of Chapter 428 of the Acts of 2006, and tasked the Commission with studying  the impact of drowsy driving on highway safety and the effects of sleep deprivation on drivers. Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts, and Cultural Development: Representative Keenan was also appointed to serve as on this committee, which works to increase the Commonwealth’s investment in and support of the state-wide tourism and travel industry and expand and strengthen the Commonwealth's artistic and cultural institutions. It addresses legislative options to stimulate tourism and cultural development to promote these important areas of economic activity.

In addition to the formal committees on which he sits, Representative Keenan also belongs to a number of caucuses. Caucuses are informal groups of legislators with similar issue interests.
