BOSTON, MA – The Commonwealth’s Human Resources Division is initiating a recruitment campaign for municipal and MBTA police officers, State Representative John Keenan (D-Salem) has announced.
Individuals interested in taking the exam for these positions should contact Representative Keenan’s office at 617-722-2396 to request a Civil Service Examination application and announcement be sent to them. The application deadline is April 2, 2007, with the examination taking place on May 19, 2007.
This entry-level public safety examination is one of the most important public service examinations the Commonwealth will conduct in the coming months. The list that will result from this examination will determine the pool of applicants eligible for appointment to the position of MBTA Police Officer and Police Officer in cities and towns covered by the Civil Service Statute.
