Pangallo To Work on Donoghue Campaign in 5th Congressional District

BOSTON, MA – State Representative John Keenan (D-Salem) announced today that his legislative aide, Dominick Pangallo, will be departing his State House office to pursue an opportunity in the 5th Congressional district as Director of Operations for Lowell City Councilor Eileen Donoghue’s campaign.

“The residents of Salem and I have been extremely fortunate to have someone of Dominick’s caliber and energy serve in this capacity,” said Representative Keenan.  “It’s bitter-sweet for me; I’m sad to lose him, but it’s a tremendous opportunity for him – open congressional races are rare in Massachusetts.  I’m excited for him to have this chance to get into a race at this level with a top-tier candidate.”

“It has been an enormous honor and privilege to serve the people of Salem and Representative Keenan,” said Pangallo.  “I am extremely grateful to Representative Keenan for all his guidance over the last three years and for the confidence and trust he placed in me both on the campaign trail and at the State House.  The people of Salem are incredibly fortunate to have Representative Keenan as their voice on Beacon Hill.”

Pangallo, a Salem resident, had managed Representative Keenan’s successful campaign in 2004 and has served as his aide at the State House since January 2005.  He will continue to assist Representative Keenan with political work in Salem and will help out as needed on a number of on-going legislative and budgetary matters that the Representative’s State House office is handling.
